Buying a managed WordPress website? Start with these five decisions.

A website purchase should start with a clear job: help someone understand your offer and take the next step. Before comparing designs or monthly plans, decide what that next step is. A booking, a product purchase and a request for a quote need different pages and different checks.

This guide helps you prepare for the Influx managed WordPress setup flow. It is for business owners creating their first useful site and established businesses replacing a site that no longer supports the way they sell.

Choose one main customer action

Write one sentence: “When the right visitor reaches this website, I want them to ___.” Put that action on the pages where someone has enough information to decide. If the answer is “book a consultation,” explain who the consultation is for and what happens after booking. If it is “buy,” make the product, options and charges clear.

Pick a starting design around your content

A restaurant, a service business and an online shop need different page structures. Preview the template’s navigation and mobile layout, then list the changes your business needs. Sample text, example products and stock details must become your own content before launch. A preview is a starting point rather than a promise that every displayed example is included in your purchase.

Review the plan and the setup charge together

In the signup flow, compare the displayed recurring price, any one-time setup charge and the available designs for your chosen plan. Ask about work that is outside the plan before ordering. Do not assume a template preview includes custom copywriting, product entry, domain changes or every integration your business uses.

Prepare your real business information

Have your logo, contact details, offer descriptions and original photos ready. For each page, identify the person responsible for approving its content. Use images you have permission to publish, and describe what is actually shown in the image rather than filling its alternative text with keywords.

Check the customer journey before promoting it

Open the website on a phone. Follow the menu, complete the relevant test journey and confirm where enquiries or orders arrive. Ask who manages updates and backups, what support covers and how you request changes. An attractive homepage does not replace those checks.

Start with a design you can make your own

The Influx library lets you preview starting designs and continue into the native website setup. Available choices depend on the selected plan. Review the displayed charges before completing checkout.
